About Erin
Erin founded STEAM Power Media to show the creativity of science and engineering, and help communicate the incredible breakthroughs happening in STEM.
With more than 10 years experience working at institutions such as NASA and MIT, Erin brings highly sought after science communication expertise. At NASA she led the 2-year project to revamp the International Space Station Benefits for Humanity initiative, contributing to station’s extension to 2030. She is a recipient of NASA’s Silver Snoopy, one of the highest awards given by the agency.
During her time running STEAM Power Media Erin has done everything from sail on a 2-month scientific ocean expedition to fly on three parabolic flights, sharing the research right from the field where it is happening.
She has a BS in Mechanical Engineering, an extensive list of freelance science communication clients, a wide network of STEM collaborators, and a social media following of nearly 150K to whom she shares science, space, and maker content.
In her free time you can find her playing competitive pinball, going to musicals, hiking, or scrolling through TikTok.
